1) What software do I need to operate Abstract Pro?
Abstract Pro operates on any PC running Microsoft Excel 97 or newer software versions for Windows.

2) How much hard drive space is required on my PC to run Abstract Pro?
For Abstract Pro, the initial file size is less that 500 KB (1/2 megabyte). As lease abstract records are added, the file size grows proportionately, with an average user of 100 records require less than 750 KB (3/4 megabyte).

3) How does the trial copy version work?
Our trial copy is a FREE, fully functional copy with no time limitation so you can take as much time as you like to evaluate how the software works without being limited by time or bothered by "nag" prompts.
Abstract Pro has a limitation of a total number of records (abstracts) allowed of 5 on the trial copy.

Each Software License for Abstract Pro may have up to ten (10) users.

5) Why do I have to "name" each licensed copy purchased? Each Software License copy of Abstract Pro which are customized with the desired name (Company, Portfolio or Building)?
This name is included on all reports and helps provide copyright protection for the software.
In essence, Abstract Pro licenses are sold for each Company, Portfolio or Building as desired.

8) How many lease abstracts can Abstract Pro handle?
Abstract Pro uses one row on an Excel spreadsheet for each lease abstract. Excel has over 65,000 rows available. While this is technically possible, the file size would likely be ungainly. From a few tens to a few hundred lease abstracts would be most practical.

9) Why don't the buttons work if I use Abstract Pro in Excel 2000 or newer?
Excel 2000 and newer versions incorporate security features to help protect against unwanted VBA/macros in files. In Excel 2000, if the security level setting is on "High", you will not receive a warning of macros in a file, and thus VBA/macros will not function. You can change the security setting in Excel 2000 by going to TOOLS/MACRO/SECURITY and changing the setting from "High" to "Medium". This should prompt a warning message when opening files with VBA/macros, in which case you will need to "Enable" the macros when opening Abstract Pro.
In Excel 2007, you will receive a Security Warning under the toolbar stating "Some active content has been disabled". Click the Options button and click the "Enable this content" to allow Abstract Pro to operate.
